Detto Mariano

Detto Mariano was a prolific Italian composer, conductor, arranger, and songwriter, best known for his work scoring numerous Italian films, particularly comedies, throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s. He collaborated extensively with some of Italy's biggest comedic stars, including Adriano Celentano and Tomas Milian, creating instantly recognizable and often quirky soundtracks for their films. Many of his scores, like those for *Il Bisbetico Domato* and *Il Ragazzo di Campagna*, have become classics, loved for their catchy melodies and distinctive blend of genres, often incorporating elements of jazz, funk, and pop.

Beyond his film work, Mariano also composed music for television and worked as an arranger and conductor for other artists. He had a knack for crafting memorable themes and incorporating unusual instrumentation, giving his music a unique and playful character. His soundtracks are still enjoyed today, offering a nostalgic trip back to the golden age of Italian comedy cinema.
