**Diapsiquir** was a French industrial black metal duo known for their chaotic, experimental sound that blended raw black metal with disturbing electronic textures. Formed in Paris in 1994 by Acerbus (vocals, instruments) and Asmodeus (drums), the band carved a niche with their nihilistic themes, unhinged vocals, and nightmarish atmosphere. Their early work, like *Lubie satanique dépravée* (1999), mixed lo-fi aggression with industrial noise, while later albums like *Virus STN* (2012) refined their signature style into a more polished but equally unsettling experience.

Diapsiquir’s career saw sporadic activity, including a hiatus in the 2000s and a brief reunion in the 2010s, with releases like *A.N.T.I.* (2013) and *180°* (2015) pushing their sound further into avant-garde territory. Their live shows were infamous for their confrontational intensity, mirroring the band’s obsession with themes of mental decay and societal collapse.
