Matt Bachmann is a New York-based musician, composer, and songwriter known for blending ambient, instrumental, and song-oriented music with a cinematic touch. Initially releasing music under the moniker Big Eater, he later retired that name to unify his diverse sound under his own. Bachmann’s work spans driving basslines (notably with the band Mega Bog), repetitive drone music, and richly textured instrumentals inspired by film scores, Miyazaki movies, and Nintendo-like fantasy worlds.
