SECTION H8

Section H8 is a hardcore punk band from Los Angeles, formed in early 2018. They have quickly made an impact in the hardcore scene, being dubbed the "Best New Hardcore Band of 2018" by No Echo. The band consists of musicians who have previously been part of bands like Downpresser, Minus, Product Of Waste, and Human Garbage, bringing together a wealth of experience. Their music is influenced by American hardcore acts such as Madball and Cold As Life, Japanese hardcore punk, and metal bands like Carnivore. Section H8's sound is characterized by its energetic and merciless style of groove-carved hardcore punk, often focusing on themes of societal disillusionment and conflict.

Section H8 has released several EPs, including *Phase One* and *Winter Games*, and their debut album *Welcome to the Nightmare* came out in July 2021 via Flatspot Records. This album includes the notable track "Streetsweeper," which features Tim Armstrong of Rancid. Their music captures the raw essence of hardcore, both past and present, and reflects the harsh realities of contemporary life.
