Ciconia Consort is a lively Dutch string orchestra from The Hague, founded in 2012 and made up of about 20 talented young musicians who've shone in competitions and on stages around the world. Led by conductor and artistic director Dick van Gasteren since day one, they've built a cool rep for fresh takes on string orchestra gems, dropping albums like *Couleurs de France*, *Slavic Rhapsody*, and *French Music for String Orchestra* on labels like Brilliant Classics.
They keep things exciting with concerts at spots like Het Concertgebouw, mixing in soloists for programs on everything from Belle Epoque vibes to Silk Road adventures, and they've got five CDs out, including live recordings that capture their energy.
