Ugly Heroes

Ugly Heroes is an American hip hop group that emerged from the depths of the underground music scene, harnessing the gritty realism of city life within their sound. The group consists of rapper Red Pill, Detroit producer Apollo Brown, and fellow emcee Verbal Kent from Chicago. The trio joined forces with a shared vision of crafting unvarnished, narrative-driven rap that reflects the struggles and triumphs of the everyman, all laid over Apollo Brown's soulful, boom-bap production.

Since their self-titled debut album "Ugly Heroes" released in 2013, the group received critical acclaim for its candid approach to storytelling and its no-frills depiction of personal and societal issues. Followed up by their EP in 2014, and the substantive full-length "Everything in Between" in 2016, Ugly Heroes continued to solidify their place in the hip-hop world. Through singles like "Today Right Now," "Heart Attack," and "This World," they've continually showcased their evolution while staying true to the poignant, raw lyricism that originally defined their unique place in hip-hop. Ugly Heroes' music resonates with fans who appreciate rap with substance and authenticity, offering a stark contrast to the glamorized narratives often found in mainstream hip-hop.
