Aguaturbia

Aguaturbia is a pioneering Chilean rock band that dates back to the late 1960s, known for their raw psych-rock style and controversial image that challenged conservative Latin American norms. Initially formed by Carlos Corales and his wife Denise, along with Willy Cavada and Ricardo Briones, Aguaturbia's self-titled debut album and their follow-up "Vol.2" quickly cemented their reputation for fusing bluesy hard rock with psychedelic elements. Their music often reflected the countercultural movement of the era, pushing boundaries both musically and socially with their frank approach to themes of sex, drugs, and anti-establishment sentiments.

Aguaturbia's trailblazing journey was interrupted when they disbanded in the early '70s, due in part to the political climate in Chile. However, their legacy endured through the decades. They returned to the music scene with "Psychedelic Drugstore - Remastered," breathing fresh life into their classic sound for a new generation of listeners while staying true to their roots. The band continued to produce music that spoke to themes of freedom and love, as seen in releases like "Fe, Amor y Libertad" and the introspective "Versiones Acústicas." Their more recent singles like "Ya No Quiero Ser (Duele, Hiere, Mata)" and "Corazón bye bye" showcase a band that, despite the passage of time, remains unafraid to explore emotional depth and contemporary issues with their distinctive artistic flair.
