Consciência X Atual

Consciência X Atual, affectionately known as CxA, is a notable group from the world of Brazilian rap and hip-hop, originating from Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo. Formed in 1994, the group initially consisted of W-fy, Billy, and Nego Lê, who met through local freestyle rap competitions. Tragedy struck in 1999 when Billy, one of the founding members, passed away, prompting the group to release an album in his memory titled "A Ressurreição (In Memorian de Billy)" that same year. Over the years, CxA has released several impactful albums, including "Contos do Crime," "A Sequela," and the double disc "Honra ao Mérito - Visão e Progresso." Their discography also includes albums like "Tráfico De Idéias" and "Ao Vivo Em Ribeirão Preto."

The group's history was marked by challenges, including Nego Lê's imprisonment in 2012. Despite these setbacks, CxA maintained a strong presence in the Brazilian rap scene until announcing their dissolution on October 10, 2016, after 22 years of activity. However, W-fy later clarified that the group would continue in some form.
