Devan Ekambaram

Devan Ekambaram is an Indian-American musician known for his versatility in the music industry. Born on December 25, 1975, in Freehold Township, New Jersey, he has established himself as a singer, actor, composer, and arranger. His journey into music began unexpectedly while studying electrical engineering, when he was invited to audition for renowned composer A.R. Rahman. This led to his debut as a playback singer in the Tamil film *Kadhalar Dhinam* with the song "O Maria" in 1999. Devan has since contributed vocals to over 500 film soundtracks and worked with prominent directors like A.R. Rahman and Harris Jayaraj.

As a composer, Devan made his debut with the film *Bale Pandiya* in 2010, earning critical acclaim. He has also been a vocal arranger for several films and has collaborated with Grammy-winning artists on projects like *Winds of Samsara* and *Divine Tides*. Devan's music career extends beyond India, with international recognition and performances across more than 20 countries. His recent work includes album releases and remixes, showcasing his expansive talent in the music industry.
