Sähkökitarakvartetti

**Sähkökitarakvartetti** (The Electric Guitar Quartet) is a contemporary music ensemble based in Helsinki, formed in 2017. The group consists of four accomplished guitarists: **Lauri Hyvärinen**, **Juhani Grönroos**, **Sigurdur Rögnvaldsson**, and **Jukka Kääriäinen**. Each member brings a diverse musical background to the table, ranging from experimental music and sound art to jazz improvisation and contemporary music. This blend of styles and influences enables the quartet to explore new musical territories with electric guitars as their primary instrument. Over the years, they have inspired numerous composers to create works specifically for them, accumulating a repertoire of over 25 pieces tailored to their unique sound.

Recent releases from Sähkökitarakvartetti include albums titled **IV**, **III**, **II**, and **I**, continuing their exploration of contemporary music. The group's music often features compositions by various artists, such as Marja Ahti and Clara de Asís, alongside original works by the ensemble members themselves.
