Van Baerle Trio

Van Baerle Trio is an acclaimed chamber music ensemble recognized for their compelling performances and recordings. Comprised of Dutch musicians Maria Milstein (violin), Gideon den Herder (cello), and Hannes Minnaar (piano), the trio derived its name from the street where their musical journey began: Van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam, also home to the famous Concertgebouw, where they are regular performers.

Established in 2004, the Van Baerle Trio quickly made a mark on the international music scene. They rose to prominence after winning the ARD Music Competition in Munich in 2011 and have since then maintained a reputation for the depth and cohesion of their interpretations. Their recording endeavors, particularly their complete cycle of Beethoven's works for piano trio, showcase their prowess and musical intelligence. The dedication to their craft is further demonstrated in their performances of works by Mendelssohn and Saint-Saëns, as well as contemporary composers such as Theo Loevendie, underscoring their versatility and commitment to both the core classical repertoire and modern masterpieces. With a growing discography and a busy concert schedule, the Van Baerle Trio continues to enchant audiences worldwide through their dynamic and sensitive collaborations.
