Bogdan Bacanu is a world-renowned marimbist, whose virtuosic command of his instrument has solidified his place in the upper echelons of classical percussionists. Born in Romania, Bacanu was a musical prodigy, having embraced the marimba at a young age. He studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where he refined his mastery of the instrument under the guidance of Professor She-e Wu and later became an acclaimed professor of marimba himself.
