Ida Gard

Ida Gard, born Ida Bidstrup Østergaard on March 1, 1986, in Hadsund, Denmark, is a Danish indie pop singer-songwriter. She rose to prominence in 2008 after winning the music competition *KarriereKanonen* organized by the Danish national radio DR P3. This success led to opening for Bob Dylan in Aarhus and embarking on her first tour across Denmark and Germany. Ida Gard's music often explores themes of introspection and emotional depth, showcasing her unique voice in the indie pop scene. She has been part of initiatives highlighting female artists in the Danish music scene, advocating for greater representation and recognition of women's contributions to the industry.
