Eighteen Visions

Eighteen Visions, often stylized as 18V or XVIII, is an American metalcore band that originated in Orange County, California in 1995. The band's lineup evolved throughout its history, but James Hart (vocals) and Keith Barney (guitarist) remained as consistent members. Blending the aggressive elements of hardcore punk with heavy metal, Eighteen Visions became known for their fashion sense and unabashed embrace of a "glam metal" image, which set them apart in the hardcore scene. They experienced a rise in popularity in the early 2000s with albums like "Until the Ink Runs Out" (2000) and "Vanity" (2002), further evolving their sound with "Obsession" (2004), which featured a more melodic metalcore style.

However, in 2007, after the release of their self-titled album, Eighteen Visions disbanded, leaving fans with a robust catalog of groundbreaking metalcore records. In 2017, the band surprised the music world with a return, releasing the album "XVIII" and demonstrating their enduring ability to deliver punishing riffs and emotive melodies. Their most recent work, as of the last update, continues to engage audiences with searing intensity and demonstrates their commitment to the metalcore genre while exploring a range of sonic territories, showing a band that's both true to its roots and unafraid of evolution.
