Jan Schulmeister is a remarkably talented young Czech pianist born in 2006, known for his extraordinary technical skill and deep musical sensitivity. He comes from a distinguished musical family with a long tradition, and his early start in music saw him winning numerous international piano competitions across Europe and the US. Since beginning piano lessons at age five and competing from seven, Jan has rapidly gained recognition, notably becoming the youngest member of the prestigious Petrof Art Family and releasing a well-received solo debut album in 2025 featuring works by Mussorgsky, Rachmaninoff, and Scriabin.
In addition to his solo career, Jan collaborates with prominent Czech orchestras and the Wihan Quartet, with whom he has recorded classical piano concertos. He studies with noted teachers at conservatories in Kroměříž, Brno, and Germany, while also engaging actively in music education to make classical music more accessible to younger audiences. Despite his youth, Jan Schulmeister is already recognized as one of the brightest stars in the Czech classical music scene, blending virtuosity and expressive depth in his performances.
