Gloria Tang

Gloria Tang Sze-wing, better known by her stage name G.E.M. (an acronym for "Get Everybody Moving"), is a celebrated Hong Kong singer-songwriter and producer born on August 16, 1991, in Shanghai. Raised in a profoundly musical family—her mother studied at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, her grandmother was her vocal coach, her uncle a violinist, and her grandfather a saxophonist—Gloria began writing songs by age five and appeared on educational television by seven. She honed her musical skills early, achieving Grade 8 piano by thirteen. After winning the "Spice It Up" singing competition at sixteen, she signed with Hummingbird Music and quickly rose to fame with her powerful vocals and heartfelt songwriting.

Known for her versatility and emotional depth, G.E.M. has become one of Hong Kong’s best-selling artists and earned a devoted fanbase across Greater China and internationally. Her music often blends autobiographical lyrics with a wide vocal range, drawing inspiration from the likes of Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, and Mariah Carey. Over her career, she has released numerous acclaimed albums and singles, earning recognition as a dynamic performer, including extensive tours like her "Queen of Hearts" tour. Beyond music, her journey reflects a passion for artistry nurtured from childhood, making her a standout figure in the contemporary Chinese pop scene.
