The Chainsaw Hollies

The Chainsaw Hollies are a German power pop band from Dortmund, founded in 1993. The band's original lineup included Axel "Atze" Christian Ludwig, Tex Morton, and Willi Henke. Over the years, the band has undergone some lineup changes, with Carsten Drescher joining in 1998 and Andreas "Andy" Köhn also becoming a part of the group. Their music style blends elements of power pop, punk, rock, pop-punk, and pop-rock. The Chainsaw Hollies gained a record deal with Sony Music early in their career and later moved to Gringo Records. Some of their notable releases include the albums *Bob*, *My One Weakness*, and *Lifetime Guarantee*, along with singles like *Goin' Up* and *Saturday*. They also contributed to a tribute album for Die Ärzte and toured as their support act in 1998.

The band's last known release was in 2000, and although there has been no official disbandment, they have not released new music since then. Their music often featured catchy hooks and energetic performances, reflecting their power pop roots. Despite the hiatus, The Chainsaw Hollies remain a notable part of Germany's alternative rock scene from the 1990s.
