Mercy Drive

Mercy Drive is an American hard rock band hailing from Central Florida, known especially for their energetic sound and strong ties to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The band originally emerged from the Orlando-based group Big Mother Thruster and quickly gained momentum on the Florida music scene. They earned significant exposure when their songs, including “Dogtooth Violet,” were featured on WWE’s Tough Enough series on MTV. This connection paved the way for them to create entrance themes for WWE wrestlers like Maven Huffman with "Tattoo" and Randy Orton with "Burn In My Light," which became iconic staple tracks in WWE programming and video games.

The band lineup includes Jimmy McGlothlin on vocals and guitar, Jake Beard on guitar, and Corey Lane on drums. They worked with producer Rick Beato to capture their raw yet melodic hard rock style in their self-titled debut album, which became a fan favorite despite not being officially released by their label. Mercy Drive toured extensively and built a reputation for dynamic live performances before going on hiatus around 2006. After years of quiet, they have returned to the studio, ready with new music and energized to reconnect with their loyal fan base.
