Aditya Modak is a celebrated Indian classical music vocalist and actor, perhaps best known for his role as the lead in Chaitanya Tamhane's critically acclaimed film "The Disciple," which streamed on Netflix. Born on October 28, 1988, in Mumbai, India, Modak began his musical journey under the guidance of Pt. Chandrakant Parkar at the age of five, later becoming a disciple of Pt. Pradeep Dhond and Pt. Ram Deshpande of the Gwalior Gharana. He has performed at numerous prestigious events and has received several awards for his music, including the Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Award and the Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Award. Modak is also a chartered accountant and enjoys teaching Hindustani classical music to students worldwide.
