Renato Diz is a Portuguese transdisciplinary artist based in New York and Miami. He is the founder, CEO, and recording artist at W&J Productions. Born in Porto, Portugal, Renato studied classical piano for 12 years under Dr. Rui Pintão before discovering jazz through pianist Carlos Azevedo. He pursued jazz studies at ESMAE in Porto and later earned a Master of Music from New York University, graduating *Summa Cum Laude*. Renato has collaborated with numerous artists and has released several albums, including *Qarabag*, *Distance Chemistry*, and *Breathing Taiwan*. His work spans multiple disciplines, incorporating music, photography, video, poetry, and more.
Renato's career highlights include performances at prestigious venues like SummerStage in Central Park and the Kinshasa Jazz Festival. He has also composed soundtracks for films and documentaries, such as *Tuttodunpezzo*, which won a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators. His projects often blend different artistic mediums, showcasing his versatility as a transdisciplinary artist. Currently, Renato is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Frost School of Music in Miami. His latest projects continue to push the boundaries of music and art, reflecting his innovative approach to creativity.
