Demigodz

The Demigodz are an underground hip-hop collective known for their raw lyrical prowess and polished boom-bap production, hailing from the East Coast of the United States. The group was officially formed in 1990 by Connecticut natives Open Mic and Reflex. Over the years, the lineup grew and shifted before solidifying with prominent members such as Apathy, Celph Titled, Ryu of Styles of Beyond, Esoteric, Blacastan, and Motive. They initially gained notoriety with several independent releases, collaborations and by contributing to the thriving underground hip-hop scene of the early 2000s.

With a string of successful releases under their belt, the group's 2013 album "Killmatic" helped establish them as heavyweights within the underground rap community. The intricate wordplay and hard-hitting beats of tracks from this album, as well as the subsequent "Killmatic (Instrumentals + Acapellas)" release, showcased their dedication to the craft of hip-hop while the "Deluxe Edition: The Godz Must Be Crazier" served as a comprehensive package for fans, offering additional content to the Demigodz repertoire. The provocative title of their track "D.N.A. Dopest Nigga Alive" provides a glimpse into their brash and unapologetic style. Respected for their adherence to classic hip-hop elements, uncompromising quality, and synergy as a collective, Demigodz remain a cherished entity among aficionados of the genre.
