Pave Maijanen

Pave Maijanen, born Pekka Juhani 'Pave' Maijanen on September 3, 1950, in Lappeenranta, Finland, was a respected Finnish musician whose talents spanned singing, songwriting, and playing a variety of instruments. Maijanen's career in the Finnish music scene was both prolific and multifaceted; he was known not only for his solo work but also for his contributions to several Finnish rock bands, including Hurriganes and Dingo, where he often played the role of producer as well. Throughout the 1980s and beyond, Pave Maijanen became well-known for hit songs like "Lähtisitkö" and "Janoinen Sydän," which became staples in the Finnish music landscape. He notably represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992 with the song "Yamma, yamma."
