Aïda Lahlou is a Moroccan-born pianist who began playing piano at the age of five and quickly made her mark by winning her first international competition at eight. Her early promise led her to study at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK, supported by scholarships, and later at the University of Cambridge and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she graduated with distinction. Aïda has been performing internationally since her teens, gracing venues like Wigmore Hall in London and BOZAR in Brussels, and has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Gilles Apap and Roby Lakatos.
Known for her imaginative and poetic playing, Aïda explores sonority and color in her interpretations, bringing a unique multicultural perspective shaped by her Moroccan roots and European training. In 2025, she released her debut album *Mirrors and Echoes*, which creatively dialogues Ravel’s *Miroirs* piano cycle with piano miniatures from five continents, reflecting themes of nature, spirituality, memory, and introspection. Beyond her performing career, she is an educator, environmental volunteer, and opera director, and her one-woman show blending classical piano with stand-up comedy has won the Barbican Imagine Fund.
