Mike Floss

Mike Floss is a hip-hop artist and Native Nashvillian who creates music that celebrates, inspires, and explores the human experience through the lens of the Black South. Born in Chicago and raised in Nashville, he is the son of acclaimed jazz trumpeter Rod McGaha, which has significantly influenced his musical upbringing. Floss has opened for notable artists like Pusha T, Playboi Carti, and Future, and has performed at major festivals such as Made In America and Bonnaroo. His music often blends vibrant storytelling with infectious beats, drawing inspiration from jazz and hip-hop icons like Nas and Kendrick Lamar. In 2022, he released the EP 'Contraband,' which was awarded EP of the year by The Nashville Scene, and began performing internationally.
