Minja Koski

Minja Koski is a Finnish singer-songwriter and actress born in 1982 in Kuhmo. She has made a name for herself in the Finnish pop and indie music scenes, notably releasing music under the artist name M. Since 2017, she has released five albums including *Tehtaantyttö* (2017), which received critical acclaim and was named the best Finnish album of the year by MTV, and *Näytän missä asun* (2019), which was nominated for an Emma Award and the Teosto Prize for its songwriting. Her music often explores personal and imaginative themes, with influences ranging from disco to British rock of the ’60s and ’70s. Besides music, Koski is also recognized for her acting and has created music for theater productions.

In recent years, Koski has released several albums connected to Finnish culture and traditions, including the *Göstan joululaulut* and *Göstan parhaat* albums featuring works related to Gösta Sundqvist’s songs. She continues to blend her talents as a composer and performer, contributing to both contemporary music and seasonal songs. Her unique voice and thoughtful lyrics have earned her a devoted following in Finland.
