Masterplan

Masterplan is a power metal band hailing from Germany, formed in 2002 by guitarist Roland Grapow and drummer Uli Kusch after their departure from the band Helloween. Known for their melodic approach to metal and Grapow's distinctive guitar work, Masterplan's sound blends elements of traditional heavy metal with symphonic and progressive influences to create powerful and cinematic music. The band's lineup has seen several changes over the years, with Grapow remaining the constant driving force behind Masterplan's creative output.

Since their self-titled debut album in 2003, "Masterplan," the band has been steadily building their discography and fanbase. Their most recent studio album, "PumpKings" (2017), is a notable project where Grapow re-recorded old Helloween songs he had contributed to during his time with the influential group, giving them a fresh Masterplan treatment. With a career spanning over two decades, Masterplan has become a staple in the power metal genre, acclaimed for their intricate compositions such as "Time to Be King" and "Novum Initium," and the dramatic storytelling found in their music. Despite the changing faces in Masterplan's lineup, the band continues to deliver high-caliber performances and recordings, much to the delight of metal enthusiasts around the globe.
