Shi-Yeon Sung

Shi-Yeon Sung is a South Korean pianist and conductor who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and versatility. Born in Seoul, she began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly displayed a natural aptitude for music. Sung went on to study at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where she honed her skills under the guidance of renowned pianist Jerome Lowenthal.

As a pianist, Sung has performed with major orchestras around the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. Her repertoire spans a wide range of classical music, from Baroque to contemporary, and she is particularly known for her interpretations of Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Beethoven. In addition to her solo career, Sung is also an accomplished conductor, leading orchestras in performances of both classical and contemporary works.
