Utrecht String Quartet

**Utrecht String Quartet** is an internationally celebrated ensemble founded in 1985, blending members from Finland (violinist Eeva Koskinen), Australia (violinist Katherine Routley), Russia (violist Mikhail Zemtsov), and Germany (cellist Sebastian Koloski). Based in the Netherlands, they’ve spent decades performing timeless chamber works while championing forgotten composers—like Glazunov, Gretchaninov, and Verhulst—through recordings and live projects. Their passion for resurrecting lost gems and collaborating with contemporary creators shines through albums such as *String Quartets from the Twenties* and *Tchaikovsky: String Quartets, Vol. 2*, often released on the MDG label.
