de Raggende Manne

De Raggende Manne is a Dutch rock band renowned for their energetic performances and their unique blend of punk and spoken word sung in the Dutch language. The group originated from Amsterdam and was formed in the late 1980s by frontman Bob Fosko, who became known for his distinctive vocal style and frenetic stage presence. Their music is characterized by its raw sound, catchy riffs, and Fosko's sarcastic and sometimes absurdist lyrics, which often reflect social and personal themes.

Throughout the 1990s, de Raggende Manne gained popularity in the alternative music scene in the Netherlands, due in part to their intense live shows and a string of successful albums. They eventually disbanded in 1999 but made a surprise return to the music scene with the release of "Alles Kleeft" in 2014 followed by the album "ALLES KLEEFT" in 2018, thrilling fans with their comeback. Showcasing their undiminished ability to create pointed, powerful music, their releases such as "Kneet" and "Het Is Niet Wat Je Denkt, Het Is Veel Erger" suggest that de Raggende Manne has retained their edge and continue to hold a special place in the canon of Dutch rock music. Despite Bob Fosko's passing in 2020, the legacy of de Raggende Manne endures, marked by their significant influence on the Dutch rock and punk scenes.
