**Zhang Qingfang** (sometimes romanized as Chang Ching-fang) is a Taiwanese Mandopop legend who's been melting hearts since her 1984 debut. Known as the "Queen of Chinese Pop" for her crystal-clear vocals and emotive delivery, she dominated the '80s and '90s with albums like *These Days* and the whimsically titled *Flower Rain Night*. Her 1992 collaborative album *The Story of Two Chens* with Chen Shuhua became iconic, later remastered in 2018 for nostalgic fans. After a 2005 retirement following her marriage, she made a triumphant comeback in 2020 with sold-out concerts, proving her timeless appeal. With over 40 albums and Golden Melody Awards to her name, Zhang’s music – blending folk storytelling and pop sensibility – remains a cultural touchstone.
