Alex Jennings is a British actor who has starred in numerous films, television shows, and stage productions. He is best known for his roles as Prince Charles in the Netflix series "The Crown" and as Alan Bennett in the film "The Lady in the Van." Jennings has also appeared in films such as "Bridget Jones's Diary," "The Queen," and "Gosford Park." On stage, he has starred in productions of "Hamlet," "King Lear," and "The Seagull."

Jennings was born in London in 1957. He studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began his career in the theater. He made his film debut in 1984 in the film "Another Country." Jennings has since appeared in over 50 films and television shows. He has won numerous awards for his work, including a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in "The Queen."
