In 1979, Don's daughter Candy founded a musical group, which eventually became the contemporary iteration of The Pfeifers. Today, the group includes John Pfeifer, Candy Pfeifer, and Mary Jane Carter, who have been traveling extensively to share the Gospel through music.

The Pfeifers are known for their energetic and uplifting performances, traveling over 150 days annually to perform in churches and concert venues.
