Erefaan Pearce

Erefaan Pearce is a South African-born DJ, producer, events promoter, public speaker, and designer based in Cape Town. He began his career in 1998, performing at various venues in the city center and later holding residencies at popular spots like Baraza, Asoka, Club More, and Sutra. With no formal background in music production, writing, or performance, Pearce has successfully navigated multiple disciplines, releasing singles and EPs on both local and international labels such as Seasons Recordings, LoudEast, Stranjjur, and Fina Recordings. In 2016, he adopted the moniker "The Late Nite Cancerian," allowing him to collaborate with others and explore new musical directions.

Pearce's work reflects a strong focus on dance culture, often blending diverse influences to create innovative sounds. His recent releases include tracks like "I Need You Lovin' (Gotta Have It)" and "Lovely / Reasons," showcasing his versatility in the electronic music scene. With a career spanning over two decades, Erefaan Pearce continues to be a vibrant figure in South Africa's music landscape, known for his unpredictable approach and dedication to pushing boundaries in dance music.
