Avoid One Thing

Avoid One Thing is a punk rock band formed by Joe Gittleman, bassist of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The project began as Gittleman's solo effort, with the first self-titled album released in 2002 showcasing a raw, melodic punk sound. Over time, Avoid One Thing evolved into a full band, blending elements of pop-punk and alternative rock with heartfelt lyrics and gritty energy.

Their second album, Chopstick Bridge, came out in 2004 and featured contributions from a solidified lineup, further refining the band’s sound and chemistry. After a long hiatus, Avoid One Thing returned in 2019 with Right Here Where You Left Me, embracing both maturity and the punk spirit that fueled their early work. Fans of thoughtful lyrics and punchy guitar work will feel right at home with their sound.
