Big Scoob

Big Scoob is an American rapper hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, with a career that has been marked by a gritty authenticity and world-weary wisdom. Born Stewart D. Ashby Jr., Big Scoob spent his formative years immersed in the street life that has influenced much of his music. Known for his robust voice and commanding presence, his lyrics often reflect the harsh realities of urban existence, tempered with a desire for personal betterment and community upliftment.

After making a name for himself with his raw, unfiltered style, Big Scoob caught the attention of fellow Kansas City native, Tech N9ne, and in 2009 signed with Tech's independent hip-hop label, Strange Music. His debut album, "Monsterifik", firmly established him in the underground rap scene, showcasing his hard-hitting, bass-heavy sound. Over the years, Big Scoob continued to resonate with fans through a powerful discography, blending elements of soul, funk, and hardcore rap. Albums and singles such as "Damn Fool," "H.O.G.," and the introspective "Duality" not only fortified his reputation as a stalwart emcee but also as an artist unafraid to evolve and tackle personal and social issues. With releases like "No Filter - EP" and "Kounterfit," Big Scoob has remained a potent and insightful voice in hip hop, winning respect for both his lyrical prowess and his commitment to authenticity.
