Rompante is a DJ and producer from Porto, Portugal, known for his deep passion for electronic dance music, particularly influenced by the histories of Detroit, Chicago, Berlin, and London. He began signing productions under the name Rompante in 2010, with his first vinyl release appearing two years later on "is it balearic?" records. The release featured a nu-disco approach with vocals by Katso and remixes by Charles Webster and Aihki. In 2017, Rompante launched his own label, Music Addiction Disorder (M.A.D.), allowing him to release his own productions freely. His performances have spanned notable clubs like the Golden Pudel in Hamburg, Watergate in Berlin, and Lux in Lisbon.
Rompante's discography includes a variety of releases across different labels, often blending house and minimal styles. His recent works, such as the releases listed, reflect his continued involvement in the electronic music scene. With a residency night at Pérola Negra and appearances at numerous clubs, Rompante remains active in the underground electronic dance music world, contributing both as a DJ and a producer.
