Randy Bachman is a Canadian guitarist, singer, and songwriter best known for his work with The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1943, Bachman began playing guitar at a young age and formed his first band, The Guess Who, in 1962. The band achieved international success with hits like "American Woman" and "These Eyes," and Bachman left in 1970 to form Bachman-Turner Overdrive. BTO also had several hit songs, including "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Takin' Care of Business." Bachman has continued to release solo albums and tour throughout his career, and he was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1985.
