Maniac: The Siouxpernatural

Maniac: The Siouxpernatural is an underground MC and producer from Eagle Butte, South Dakota, located on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Indian Reservation. Growing up in a challenging environment, he witnessed significant negativity, including alcoholism, drug abuse, violence, and loss. Instead of succumbing to these circumstances, he channeled his experiences into creative outlets, starting with graffiti before turning to DJing and eventually rap. His journey in hip-hop began with battling at house parties, where he earned his nickname. Maniac's music aims to tell a different story from the realities he faced.

Maniac has released several albums, including "Paranormal: The War Within," "Nightmerika," and more recent titles like "Temple of the Witch King" and "100 Bullets." His work is also connected to other artists within the Native American hip-hop scene, such as Night Shield. Through his music, Maniac reflects on his personal journey and his observations from life on the reservation.
