Rosanna Falasca

Rosanna Falasca, known affectionately as "Chany," was a talented Argentine tango singer born on April 27, 1953, in Humboldt, Santa Fe. She grew up in a musical family, with her father, Ado Falasca, being a singer and tailor who led his own musical group. At the age of ten, Rosanna joined her father's group, performing in local towns and eventually on radio and television. Her career took off when she moved to Buenos Aires in 1969, where she quickly gained recognition for her warm, low-pitched voice and charming stage presence. She participated in the popular TV show "Grandes Valores del Tango," which led to a four-year contract and numerous performances and recordings with notable orchestras like those of Luis Stazo and Raúl Garello. Her repertoire included classic tangos and waltzes, showcasing her versatility and talent.

Rosanna Falasca's life was tragically cut short when she passed away on February 20, 1983, at the age of 29 due to uterine cancer. Despite her early demise, she left a lasting impact on the tango scene, remembered fondly by fans for her captivating performances and enduring legacy in Argentine music.
