Nunslaughter is an American death metal band that has carved out a niche within the underground metal scene for its raw, relentless sound and unapologetically blasphemous themes. Formed in 1987 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nunslaughter quickly became known for their devotion to the roots of death metal, spurning the more polished production and technicality that the genre would later explore in favor of a direct and aggressive approach. Led by the distinctive growl of vocalist Don of the Dead (Don Crotsley), whose presence has been a constant despite numerous lineup changes, the band has amassed a prodigious discography consisting of numerous EPs, splits, live albums, and full-lengths, continually feeding their cult following with fresh material.
