Thamires Tannous

Thamires Tannous is a Brazilian singer and songwriter originally from Campo Grande in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, central Brazil. She is known for her powerful and profound voice, blending the musical heritage of her home state with contemporary Brazilian music. Her music has gained recognition across Brazil, earning prestigious awards like the "Prêmio Grão de Música" in 2016. Thamires' musical influences are diverse, reflecting her family's Lebanese heritage and her upbringing surrounded by Brazilian MPB and folk styles.

Thamires has released several notable albums, including "Canto para Aldebarã" and "Canto-correnteza." The latter features a mix of Afro-Brazilian percussion and acoustic instruments, with collaborations from artists like Chico César and Vincent Segal. She has performed extensively in Brazil and internationally in countries such as Austria, Germany, Portugal, and France. Currently, Thamires splits her time between São Paulo and Vienna, where she is working on her third album.
