Matchbox is a British rockabilly band that formed in 1971 in Middlesex, England. The band was founded by Rusty Louden (guitar, vocals), Jimmy Redhead (guitar), Jimmy Charlton (drums), and Rusty Louden's brother, Fred 'Matchbox' Poke (piano). After several lineup changes, the band settled with Graham Fenton (vocals, guitar) and Freddy 'Fingers' Lee (piano), among others.
Matchbox has released numerous albums throughout their career, exploring the rockabilly and country-rock genres. With hits like "Rockabilly Rebel" and "Don't Try This," the band has established a loyal following. Despite some lineup changes over the years, Matchbox continues to tour and release new music, celebrating their distinct rockabilly sound.
