Kane & Abel

Kane & Abel, the New Orleans-born twin brother rap duo, consists of David Turner, aka Kane, and Daniel Turner, aka Abel. Their career began to take off in the mid-90s after they signed to Master P's No Limit Records, which was pivotal in elevating Southern rap to mainstream acclaim. Initially, they appeared under the monikers of Double Vision, but it was as Kane & Abel that they found fame. Their lyrical style often reflected the gritty reality of street life, blending it with the entrepreneurial spirit that defined much of No Limit's ethos.

The brothers have released a string of albums over the years, with notable releases such as "Am I My Brothers Keeper" and "Rise to Power." Their music typically combines hard-hitting beats with narratives that depict the struggles and triumphs of life in urban America. Despite legal troubles that led to a brief hiatus in the early 2000s, Kane & Abel made a comeback with releases like "Back On Money" and "Most Wanted," both of which demonstrate their resilience and continued relevance in the rap scene. Their collaboration with Boosie on "Super Clean" and the nostalgic nod in "Break Down and Cry / Twist is Back" reflect their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots, maintaining a loyal fan base and leaving an indelible mark on the rap industry.
