**Life... But How to Live It?** was a Norwegian hardcore/punk band formed in Oslo in 1988. The band consisted of Katja Benneche Osvold on vocals, Roger Andreassen on guitar, Tom Andreassen on bass, and Geir Petter "Dyret" Jensen on drums. They were closely associated with the Blitz squat in Oslo, a hub for the city's punk scene, alongside other notable bands like So Much Hate and Stengte Dører. During their active years, they toured extensively across fifteen countries, performing nearly 300 concerts. Their discography includes albums like *Life... But How to Live It?*, *Day by Day*, and *Ugly*, as well as singles such as *Green* and *Burn*. The band disbanded in 1994 but has reunited for a few concerts since then, including performances in 2002 and 2008.
After disbanding, the members went on to participate in other musical projects. Katja Osvold became involved with the band Castro, while the Andreassen brothers and Dyret contributed to bands like Captain Not Responsible and Mitti Skritti. Life... But How to Live It? was influential in the European hardcore punk scene of the early 1990s, known for their energetic live performances and their refusal to compromise their artistic vision, even turning down lucrative opportunities like a potential deal with Warner and a performance at the Roskilde Festival.
