Antoni Ros Marbà is a respected Spanish conductor and composer known for his contributions to classical music, particularly in the realms of Catalan and Spanish orchestral and operatic repertoire. Born in 1937 in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, near Barcelona, Ros Marbà studied at the Barcelona Conservatory and trained under figures like Eduard Toldrà. He made a name for himself both in Spain and abroad, leading major orchestras such as the Spanish National Orchestra and the City of Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. He also served as the principal conductor of the RTVE Symphony Orchestra and has been closely associated with the revitalization of traditional Catalan music forms like the sardana.
