Yuka Konishi
Yuka Konishi is a talented Japanese bassist born in 1998 in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. She started her musical journey at the age of 10 when she joined the Kanazawa Junior Jazz Orchestra JAZZ-21 and began playing the electric bass. At 14, Konishi transitioned to the double bass, honing her skills in jazz music.
After graduating from the Jazz Department of the National University of Music, Konishi has been making waves in the Tokyo jazz scene. She released her first single "It Wasn't Over / ループ" in November 2022 with her piano trio. Konishi is currently active in various jazz ensembles, including Naruki Kikuchi's Quintet and Trio, Miki Miyamoto's Mikkena Na, and Akihiro Kaneko's Trio.
