Die Traktor

Die Traktor is a German punk rock band formed in 1997, originally under the name The Fisheads. The band is known for its use of German lyrics and a vibrant punk rock style reminiscent of iconic German bands like Die Toten Hosen and Die Ärzte. The story behind their name change is rooted in an early performance at an American military base, where they played on a trailer pulled by a tractor. Initially, they focused on humorous songs, but over time, their repertoire expanded to include more melancholic and socially critical themes. Today, Die Traktor includes Arne Schneider on vocals, Sascha Maurer on guitar, Stan Matas on bass, and Stephan "Harrison" Fladung on drums.

In recent years, Die Traktor has ventured into unique projects, such as "Arne und die Strümpfe," a punk rock musical for children, releasing both "Arne und die Strümpfe" in 2018 and "Arne und die Strümpfe 2" in 2021. The band maintains an independent approach to music production and distribution, distancing themselves from traditional labels. Their recent releases include singles like "Höllisch gute Freunde" and albums like "Arne und die Strümpfe 2." Die Traktor's discography also includes albums such as "Helden" and "Debut," showcasing their evolving style and thematic depth.
