Thierry Fischer
Thierry Fischer is a Swiss conductor known for his dynamic interpretations and commitment to both classical masterpieces and contemporary works. Born in 1957, he started his musical career as a flutist before transitioning to conducting. Fischer has led orchestras around the world, including his tenure as Music Director of the Utah Symphony, where he expanded the ensemble’s repertoire and international presence. He has also worked extensively with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and has guest conducted numerous top-tier orchestras. His recordings, which include works by Messiaen, Saint-Saëns, and Berlioz, showcase his attention to detail and expressive musicality.
