Meddy, born Ngabo Médard Jobert on August 7, 1989, is a Rwandan singer and songwriter who has made a significant impact on the East African music scene. Known for his soulful R&B and Afropop sound, Meddy first gained prominence in Rwanda before moving to the United States to further his education and music career.
Meddy's musical journey began in high school, where he joined local singing groups in Kigali. His breakthrough came in 2008, and by 2010 he was considered one of Rwanda's most influential pop singers. In 2017, Meddy achieved international recognition with his hit song "Slowly," which became popular across East and Central Africa.
