This Obsession

This Obsession is a pop-punk trio from Chicago, Illinois, made up of Mark (guitar/vocals), Jess (bass/backup vocals), and Jon (drums). The band formed in 2009 after Mark and Jess met in high school and decided to create music together, later recruiting Jon as drummer following a Facebook search and shared history in local bands. Their sound takes inspiration from notable Chicago acts like Alkaline Trio and The Lawrence Arms, blending catchy hooks with energetic punk energy. Over the years, This Obsession has released several EPs and full-length albums, including "A Confrontational Effort" and "Cheers to Regret," showcasing their knack for memorable, riff-driven pop-punk anthems. They’re currently signed to Wiretap Records and remain active in the Chicago music scene.
